Senior Citizen Day Program
Welcome to Love House Learning Academy
CHILDREN ARE OUR HERITAGE
“Teach them what we know and they will become what they have learned.”
We are a traditional after school program that runs a full day program when school is not in session. We have become a virtual learning site for Beaufort County (South Carolina) schools to offer children support due to Covid-19. We practice Covid-19 safety guidelines throughout our campuses. Our classroom enrollment is small and children are assigned to an experienced instructor who supports distant learning with enthusiasm and great optimism. Our team is truly passionate about changing lives as we strive to strengthen learning while helping to evolve youth in all they can be.
We do not provide transportation; however, during the traditional school year, children can ride their local school bus to the center closest to the school they attend. Car riders may need special permission to ride bus. Please see your local school for transportation opportunities.
LHLA opens the first day of school and ends the last day of school in accordance with Beaufort County Schools Academic School Calendar.
We service children grades K-8th. We are an equal opportunity provider and do not discriminate regardless of race, religion national origin or sexual preference.
After School Care Program
This program was designed to assist struggling families with school aged children to reduce the number of latchkey children within our communities. We help to reduce children who may be undernourished; to prevent child abuse, neglect and abandonment, improve conduct and behavior self-awareness, develop social and interpersonal skills, all within a learning environment. This program creates an affordable place for children to be cared for and mentored, while developing relationships. We recognized that children who are closely monitored in a loving environment often get less involved with endangered activities and have a greater sense of self-worth. We operate Monday-Friday from 3:00-6:00 p.m. in accordance with Beaufort County School District’s academic calendar. The $1-A-Day After School Care program offers a daily hot meal to promote good and healthy eating in a home environment.

ABC VOUCHERS
If you need help with childcare cost, we are so happy to announce that we are NOW ACCEPTING ABC VOUCHERS for payment.
What is the Child Care Scholarship Program?
The Child Care Scholarship Program makes child care more affordable for families by making all or a portion of provider payments directly to child care providers so parents can work or attend school or training. Provider payments are received promptly, often 3–4 days after online submission, and participation unlocks access to grants and other support through ABC Quality.
The Child Care Scholarship Program helps families afford child care so parents can work, go to school, or get job training. More than 1,900 child care providers across the state are enrolled to accept scholarships.
